Bathroom ready for action...

Back Bedroom 'Tanks' a lot...

This is where the old water tank was! Both David and I ripped out all the cupboards and removed the tank! It took longer emptying the water in the tank than it did taking out the cuboards and piping!

This is a closer look! I cant believe how bigger the room looks now the cuboards have been removed! however, I do think this rom will need plastering again. this is one of the last rooms to be tackled so you wont see many pictures from this room for a while.

The kitchen partially removed...

After greeting Mr hammer with Mr Kitchen Cabinets, Mr Rizzo was able to remove it and place it in the back garden! However, Mr Blood showed his face a few times too! DIY is seriously good therapy! anyway... I had to be careful as the water meter was under the cabinets! the last thing we need is a flood!

Ohh wait! I did flood the place! ... I was told by our plumber friend (David, you know who you are) that there was no water in the house! We were wrong and when I cut the radiator pipe it was venice in our front room for a while! thankfully we managed to cap it off and David to be fair drained the rest of the pipes!

Thankfully there are only 3 radiators in the house so it didnt take long! We have decided to re-use the same radiators and try to keep the mix of new and old in the house. I think it will be good with old style radiators against the back drop of new furnishings. we'll see anyway!

At first glance this rooms looks perfectly fine. This as we will show later was not the case! we have cuts to prove it!






The Kitchen...

This is best example of how small our kitchen really is! Both Ro and I couldnt fit in it while taking the picture!

I cant believe how people could really have cooked in this place! There was just enough space for me to take the picture! I know people say their kitchen is small but looking at ours, this is the smallest kitchen in the world!

Master Bedroom...

One the main reasons for buying this house was because of the Bay windows! Not sure about the green carpet though! whats that saying "Pink and green should never be seen?" or something like that!
The Bathroom...

Our bathroom was a real off putter as I felt clostophobic just walking in there! I've already got in my mind how to extend this room! I cant wait to empty this room and start again!

The Garden...

This is the back of the house. We have agreed no strcutural work will be done until the credit crunch has ended. so no work until 2015! As you can see we have a small extension anyway and just to the left is a small outside toilet. Ro has kindly said that I can be the sole user! Its my own little cave, where most of my ideas will probably come from!
Every house I believe has one thing that gives it that 'wow' factor. For us its the garden! Its huuuggeee!! It even has two garages at the end! I'm not that green fingered, so Ro has a job on her hands cutting all thats grass!

Now the fun begins!

This blog will hopefully entertain and show you all the stages of how we transform it into a home!
